TelCam is built for field documentation — for watershed councils, survey crews, and agency field staff who need each photo to carry where, when, and how it was taken. Each photo is watermarked and encoded with the telemetry your device provides at capture — GPS position, compass heading, roll and pitch — burned into the image and recorded in EXIF. If your device has no GPS fix, the photo says so (“NO FIX”) rather than carrying an invented position. Absence is honest; a fake point is not.
TelCam can also place your position inside custom map overlays you load — an administrative boundary, a job site — giving each capture quick spatial context alongside the telemetry. Your captures not only tell where you stood — they can show it too.
TelCam requires no internet or data permissions structurally. The app cannot transmit anything off your phone: no accounts, no cloud services, no analytics, no ads, no AI photo editing. Your photographs and data stay on your device by design, and sharing them is entirely your action.
In the event your social media person wants shareables from the field, the + No Mark option saves an additional copy when you take a picture — without the watermark and without location EXIF. Ordinary camera details (device model, exposure) remain in EXIF. + No Mark is off by default; the button is inside settings when you need it.
Businesses, agencies, or individuals can have a custom emblem watermarked into captures in place of a boundary overlay — contact us to set one up.
